  • Introduction

    Judy was a student attending Gladsden High School and living with friends in a public-housing apartment when she was tragically found murdered on Thanksgiving day 1999. A farmer found her body on a dirt road leading into a pasture in the Duck Springs area. Judy was riding around with friends late Wednesday November 24th 1999 when she got out of the care near Gadsden Regional Medical Center in East Gadsden. She was last seen on foot by her friends. Her body was found about 12 miles from the hospital. In December of 1999, James "Jimbo" Rogers Jr. was arrested under suspicion for the fatal beating of Judy.

In 1982, in the year that Judy M Goins was born, on September 14th, Princess Grace of Monaco (American actress Grace Kelly), 52, died of injuries when her car plunged off a mountain road. Her 17 year old daughter, Stephanie, was also in the car and suffered serious injuries but recovered. It's believed that the accident was caused when Princess Grace, who was driving, had a mild stroke.

In 1991, the public was confused about the difference between HIV and AIDS (HIV is a virus that can lead to AIDS) and there was little treatment for either. Most thought that Johnson would die within a year or so. Also, the transmission of AIDS wasn't understood so he had to retire from basketball. Magic Johnson is still alive and well.
