Juliana Pain of Du No Australia was born in 1882 in Du No to John Herbert Pain and Martha Bones Pain. She had siblings Esther Mary Pain, Martha Pain, Alice Pain, John Charles Pain, Grace Pain, Violet Evaline Pain, Lizzie Julianna Pain, John Pain, Alice Skelley, Evelyn Violet Hall, and Eva Ethel Pain. Juliana Pain died at age 2 years old in 1884 in Dunolly.

In 1882, in the year that Juliana Pain was born, on April 3rd, 34 year old outlaw Jesse James was shot in the back of the head by trusted friend and partner Robert Ford. Suspected of colluding with the Governor of Missouri, brothers Robert and Charley Ford were arrested, indicted, plead guilty, sentenced to be hung - then pardoned by the Governor. All in one day.

In 1884, in the year of Juliana Pain's passing, on August 5th, the cornerstone for the base of the Statue of Liberty - a gift from the people of France - was laid. 120,000 people - most donations were $1 - donated to the completion of the base.
