Karen J Cody, 56 of170 S. West St., Galesburg, died at 6:41 AM Saturday, May 25, 2002 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She was born January 15, 1946 in Galesburg to Delmar and Goldie (Kling) Reed. She married James R. Cody in Galesburg on December 1, 1968. She is survived by a son, James V. Cody of Savona, Italy, two daughters, Lisa (and Paul) Long of Abingdon, IL and Buffi King of Georgia, IL, seven grandchildren and a great grandchild. She had worked as a nursing tech at OSF St. Mary Medical Center and Cottage Home Health Care retiring in 1997. She was a 1966 graduate of Galesburg High School in 1966. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was a member and past officer of the Moose Lodge 880. Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Thursday May 30, 2002 in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30PM to 1:30 PM Thursday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.
