Katerina was my grandmother, an awesome cook and at times professional chef and housekeeper to the wealthy. For a few years to the Potter household (the Patriach being Ian Potter) in South Yarra in the early 50s. Mr Potter as she called him was later to become Sir Ian Potter. She was incredibly resourceful in the very early 50s, when there was literally nothing in Australia that met the needs of immigrants at that time. Franco Giachin (Grandson)
