Katherine E (Kyle) Timmons of Venice, Sarasota County, FL was born on July 30, 1915 in Naranja, Miami-Dade County to Robert Kyle and Leona Cavender. She had siblings Zollie Kyle, Annie Kyle, Kenneth Kyle, and Robert T. Kyle, Jr. Katherine Timmons died at age 91 years old on March 27, 2007 in Venice, Sarasota County.
Katherine Kyle was a twin to Kenneth Kyle. The young Katherine was brought to Pigeon Key, Florida, a small five acre island just down from Marathon. The siblings grew up there with their brothers Zollie and Robert and sisters Tessie and Annie living in the Chief Bridge Tender home until around 1928.

The Kyle children are those of the chief bridge tender of the 7 Mile Bridge, Robert Kyle, his older daughter, Tessie Kyle, (married: Tessie Frentzel) was the first schoolteacher on Marathon in 1928 after quite a few years without a school. Tessie Kyle also grew up on Pigeon Key and had brothers Zollie and Robert.
