Obituary
Katherine 'Reader' Sandholzer passed away on May 20, 2007, at the age of 66 in her home in San Antonio, Texas.
Katherine was dearly loved by all who knew her. She was a loving, kind and generous lady and a superlative teacher of the English language. She taught English for many years in Tokyo, Japan. She was a 'master' teacher at Kodaira Women's College and also taught at the Nissan and Honda Motor Corporations and for Time Life Corporation of Japan.
In her early career in Texas, she worked as a personal aid to San Antonio news anchorman Chris Marou. Katherine proudly served for 32 years as the wife of retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Ronald D. Sandholzer of Yokota Air Base, Japan.
Preceded in death by her parents, James D. and Ruth Reader of Smithville.
Survived by her husband; sons, Ivar R. Gram II, Daniel T. Sandholzer and Michael A. Sandholzer; daughters Georgiana K. Barr, Laura L. Wilson and Katherine R. Sandholzer; her brother Robert H. Reader; sister Mary L. Reader; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
