    Kathryn, born Catherine Mary Bonnette, was the granddaughter of James and Katherine (Lally) Thompson Irish immigrants. They were farmers in Cheshire Co. New Hampshire. Her Mother Was Margaret Thompson Bonnette and her father was Samuel Bonnette, St,Alphonse, Quebec. Kathryn had a sister Agnes Margaret (later Wilcox)1915-1985 and brother Donald Edgar.1919-1994. In addition there was a younger sister, Mary Arden Hughes who was placed for adoption and grew up in Rhode Island. The three older siblings grew up in a school in Manchester, NH. as their mother was forced to find emnployment as a home carer/nurse and could not always take the children with her. The children were bright and ambitious. A. Margaret graduated from Mass. General School of Nursing and Donald graduated from Boston College. Kathryn began studies at was once Boston City Hospital, but broke off studies before completing. Kathkryn met and married George Lannan Fiske while working at Parke Snow Store in Roslindale (Boston) MA. Fiske was decendent from an old and distinguished New England family. They had two children, Susan and Katherine. Susan, a graduate of Stonehill College and UNC Chapel Hill N.C. became a teacher and Librarian. Katherine graduated from Columbia University and became a psychologist. Kathryn was a loving and generous person. Hard working and dependable she ended her life as the respected cook and assistant director of the Lunch program for the Norton School System, Norton MA.
