My uncle, Richard Reimann, was the best in the world. He lived next-door to me from the time I was born, & as I grew, I remember how much fun he had with making trolls with me, helping me cook with my Easy Bake Oven, taking me fishing @ Santa Monica Pier, CA. His love for me was genuine & unconditional. He protected me from a bad environment as a child by making me laugh, teaching me things, also showing me that he truly cared. He nicknamed me "Gooser."
He loved me & my brother more than anyone else as far as children go. I missed him when we moved from Hollywood, CA to Valencia, CA, 6 months after our "Nana" passed on Christmas of 1971.
He got married to Charlene Reimann around that time. I continued to spend some time with my uncle as a teenager & young adult. Unfortunately, he had a heart attack a couple years before he passed. The doctors found that he had lung cancer @ the age of 55, & after rounds of radiation & other treatments, he grew more sick, then passed away when I was 29 years old. There has been a huge hole in my heart ever since then, as he took part of me with him.
There will never be another "Unkie" again! May he know how much he was/is loved, also truly missed. I love you, Unkie!!!!
