    Kenneth F. Swider, 52, died May 6, 2006, at his home. He was born in Ypsilanti, Mich., and lived in Stuart for 30 years, coming from Nashville, Tenn. He was the owner of Martin County Irrigation in Stuart and was a songwriter. His song, "Long Hot Summer," was recorded by Pam Kellum and released by Motown. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, JoAnn M. Swider of Stuart; daughter, Kristina L. Swider of Stuart; mother, Geraldine F. Swider of Stuart; and sisters, Nancy Starr of Louisville, Ky., Linda LaMar of Port St. Lucie, Diane Coward of Killen, Ala., and Kaye Black of White City. He was preceded in death by his brother, Hank Swider. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. SERVICES: A memorial service willl be conducted at 11 a.m. May 13 in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, Stuart.

My father was an amazing man. He was my best friend. He was taken from this world when I was 11 years old. It's been 10 years since his passing and I am now 21 years old. I still remember my dad like it was yesterday. My Mother and I still keep his memory alive till this day. I miss him more than anything in this world and would do anything to just even hug him one last time, but I know that will never happen. I know he is looking after me though and I just hope that he would be proud of the woman that I became.
