    Kenneth George McQuesten was born on July 13, 1926 in Massachussets to parents Robert "Ralph" McQuesten (1871-1965) and Myrtle Disbrow (1904-1943). He grew up in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts with siblings Robert McQuesten and Jane McQuesten. He enlisted in the US Army on May 24, 1946, in Fort Banks, Boston, Massachusetts and joined the Field Artillery branch of the military as a Private in the Regular Army. Kenneth enlisted for the Hawaiian Department and served from 1944 to 1952, during which he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. During World War II, he was deployed to Germany, where he served bravely and received a Bronze Star for his valor in combat. He also served in the Korean War and was awarded a Silver Star for his outstanding performance in action. Kenneth's name is engraved on the Korean War Memorial in Washington, DC, as a tribute to his service and sacrifice for his country.
