  • Introduction

    Born at Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls Tx. to Pandora (Pandy) Ann Davidson Putnam and Kenneth Harold Putnam Sr. January 12th 1972. Raised in Wichita Falls among more than 100 very close and important people in the Davidson/Kestler/Baker/Putnam families. One biological younger brother, Chad Edward Putnam, ‘77. His first cousins Chasity Davidson and Nathan ‘Buba’ Davidson were adopted as brother and sister when they were 2 yrs old and 6 mos old. His family moved often. Living on Brownlee st when he was born. Moved to Central Fwy and then to live among extended family at 407 Swartz st. He spent his formative years on Swartz st. Then moved to Carpenter’s Bluff Tx. In 1980-82. Then moved to the 2 story house on the Hammon Ranch at 12914 Hwy 287 N. where Ken attended Henrietta Jr High school. The family moved again to Sue ln. in Dean Tx. Where he attended Petrolia Jr high and Sr high school. Ken road his 10speed bike every day from Dean to attend WFHS to play football for a 5A district school and earn a scholarship. In 1989, before he graduated, Ken (16) met a runaway 15 yr old girl named Rebecca Lynn Thompson. After dropping out of high school and abandoning a scholarship offer to play tightens at Texas Tech University, Ken and Becky ran away and were married later that year. Becky and Ken separated in 1991 but weren’t legally divorced until 1995. In 1994 Ken met 2 young children named Anthony Scott Kemp (6) and Brandi Nicole Metiz (3). Protecting them from abuse, Ken learned their mom was planning an abortion. Ken convinced their mom to have the baby with the understanding that he would be the father on the birth certificate and take the baby to raise alone. His mom refused to sign the birth papers so Ken named the baby Kenny Jay Putnam. Ken went on to raise the 3 kids for 3 yrs before their mom made it impossible to continue with her drug addiction and abusive tendencies. After kidnapping the 3 kids and abusing them more, their mom was eventually found by Ken and a court placed Anthony and Brandi with their respective fathers and placed Kenny Jay with Ken. After further attempts to kidnap Kenny, Ken moved to Duncan Oklahoma to hide from the crazy atmosphere in Wichita Falls. There he met Angela Lourea Kirk. In 1996 they moved to Wichita Falls and were married. They had 2 children Daniel Barton Putnam and Emily Anne Putnam. Angela became an addict (alcohol, pills and meth) and forced Kenny Jay out of the house and back with his abusive mother at age 12. After 13 years Ken left the home and filed for a divorce. In 2012 Ken started his own business called Putnam Pest Service LLc. In 2013 Ken took his 2 children back from Angela and raised them both alone for a year. In 2014 Ken met Joanne Arnell Kinney on EHarmony. She moved from San Diego Ca. to live with Ken, Daniel & Emily in Iowa Park Tx. She began to fill the role of mother to Daniel and Emily. They moved from Iowa Park to North Padre Island in Corpus Christi Tx. on October 31st 2015. In November 2016 they were married on Whitecap beach on the island. The family moved back to Wichita Falls and ultimately back to Iowa Park. Growing as a family, Daniel turned 18 and went into the USAF and was eventually stationed at Hurlburt AFB in Florida. The 3 remaining family members then moved to Wichita Falls on January 1st 2021. As of 2021 Ken still operates Putnam Pest Service and continues to live a prosperous and happy life serving God and loves his family very much. As of February 2021 Ken has not seen his adopted son Kenny Jay for 5+ years. He loves him and prays for his happiness and safety every day.

    His first job was working for his dad Ken Sr doing house painting. His first official job was at Braum’s on Kemp street in Wichita Falls. Later he worked at multiple restaurants. In 1992 he became the Herpetological Curator for ED Wildlife zoo and Kiowa Hills Safari Park as well as sales and curator at 2 exotic pet shops called ‘Snakes n Things’. In 1999 he went to work for Top-O-Texas Termite and Pest Control in Wichita Falls Tx. He worked there until he started his own company ‘Putnam Pest Service’ in 2012- present.
