Sadly, I met him only a few years before his passing. The first thing I noticed was his depth and brilliance. Secondly, I experienced his wicked sense of humor! He was a kind, sensitive man who was both knowledgeable and curious about the world. His world was aircraft, friends and inventions. He was very proud of his Manx heritage and military service. He sadly suffered from M.S., and used a walker for his back at all times. His attitude was still upbeat. A wealth of knowledge, he once told me to always remember.. "They can't make it too tough for you." This I have never forgotten I will never forget him, a great man.
