Kevin Dean Wobig was born on December 12, 1968 in LaSalle, Illinois United States to Clifford Blaine Wobig and Donna Mae (Caldwell) Wobig, and had a brother Loren Allen Wobig. He married Kassandra Marie (Williamson) Wobig on April 20, 2007, and had children Shalynn Kay Wobig and Kaia Rain Wobig. Kevin Wobig died at age 55 years old on July 21, 2024 in Ames, Story County, IA.

The South Vietnamese and US troops held off the offensive but it was such fierce fighting that the U.S. public began to turn against the war.
