Kevin Lee Lohse of Worcester, Montgomery County, PA was born on June 17, 1954 at Grand View Hospital 700 Lawn Ave, in Sellersville, Bucks County to Wilfred Biff Lohse and Eleanor Lohse. He had siblings Gary Lohse, Greg Lohse, Priscilla Singer, Megan Diehl, and Michele Townsend. He married Robin (Hoffman) Lohse, and had children Nathan Lohse, Gretchen Lohse, and Reuben Lohse. Kevin Lohse died at age 43 years old on September 21, 1997, and was buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery 44 Swamp Pike, in Royersford, Montgomery County.

    Kevin attended Sacred Heart Grade School in Hilltown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Lansdale Catholic High School in 1972 and the University of Rhode Island in 1977 with a degree in Marine Biology.

  • Military Service

    Kevin did not serve in the military but his father fought in World War II receiving two Purple Hearts.

  • Professional Career

    Upon graduation from the University of Rhode Island, Kevin began his career as a researcher for Rohm and Haas. He worked there until his death in 1997.

  • Personal Life & Family

    Kevin was a gifted musician easily picking up the guitar, mandolin, banjo and eventually focusing on the fiddle. He played music with many of his friends for fun but was not afraid to compete in fiddle contests sometimes in front of 1,000 or more listeners. He was particularly focused on his family that meant the world to him. He fought the good fight for several years following a diagnoses of cancer. He never complained about his circumstance, remaining upbeat and thoughtful until the end,.

I was a classmate of Kevin graduating from Lansdale Catholic High School and the University of Rhode Island. We also played folk and old-time music a bunch of years following school.
