>Kirk Conway LUBBOCK-Kirk Conway, 46, of Lubbock, formerly of Littlefield, went to be with his Lord Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, in Lubbock. He was born July 30, 1970 in Lubbock. Kirk attended Littlefield High School, but transferred to Churchill High School in San Antonio where he graduated with the class of 1988. He began his career in the food service and restaurant industry at the age of 16, at Madison House Apartment Community in San Antonio. After high school, he was accepted to Texas A&M, but was promoted to Dining Room and Catering Manager at Madison House, so Kirk decided to stay in San Antonio, and attended UTSA for two years. He was transferred to Seattle for a brief time, he then returned to Texas, and attended Texas Tech. Kirk was the general manager of 50th Street Caboose in Lubbock, the Copper Caboose in Amarillo, Logan's Roadhouse in Lubbock, and Don Pablo's in Grapevine. He also held positions as a District Manager for Logan's Roadhouse, and was a Corporate Trainer for Grand Lux in the Dallas Galleria. About four years ago, Kirk returned to Lubbock to care for his grandmother, whom he loved very much. Kirk was a devoted caretaker for his Granny, and had a big heart. Kirk left this Earth after stopping to help someone in need, which resulted in an accident. Everyone who knew Kirk knows that he was always going out of his way to help others in any way that he could. He was involved in various charitable organizations throughout the years, including Children's Miracle Network, Lewisville Christian Community Action, and Evelyn River's Coat Campaign in Amarillo. Kirk's kindness and outgoing personality allowed him to make friends from all over, and he was a loyal friend, always there to lend an ear or give an encouraging word. He will be greatly missed by his Granny, his family, and his friends. Kirk is survived by his mother, Patricia Conway of Lubbock; his Granny, Wilma Alexander of Lubbock, formerly of Littlefield; uncle and aunt, Gene and Linda Alexander of Lubbock; cousins, Jennifer Alexander of Dallas and Cory Alexander of Lubbock; precious canine companion, Alice; and numerous extended family members. Services to celebrate Kirk's life will be 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at Grace Chapel in Littlefield with Pastor John Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be his cousins, Cory Alexander, Grant Allen, Taylor Cockrell, Jonathan Plumley, Doug Allen and Kenny Weige. In lieu of flowers, in honor of Kirk's giving spirit, the family suggests memorials be made to the South Plains Food Bank, the Lubbock SPCA, or a favorite charity. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
