Kleah Laura Baxter was born on November 18, 1893 to parents Isaac H. Baxter (November 20, 1854-April 4, 1923) and Catherine A Treloar (August 25, 1870-March 30, 1952). She had siblings including Helen, Thomas, Ralph, Kera, Killian, and Clinton Baxter. She grew up in Niagara Falls, Niagara, New York, USA and attended local schools in the area. Kleah married Frank Ernest Pethybridge (1895-1919) on November 8, 1919 in Niagara Falls, New York, USA. Together they had children including Fracnes Elaine Pethybridge (1931-2014) and Kleah Lorraine Pethybridge (1931-2008). She was a school teacher and retired in 1965 after teaching in Niagara Falls public schools for 45 years.

After marrying Catherine in 1889, the couple lived in Niagara Falls, NY and raised their family. He worked as a Superintendent at a cemetery in Lewiston, Niagara, New York. He passed away on April 4, 1923 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York, USA.

LEWISTON - A memorial service for Kleah L..Pethybridge, a retired Niagara Falls schoolteacher, will be held at 3 p.m. next Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, Cayuga Street.
Mrs. Pethybridge, 98, of Orchard Drive, died Wednesday (Jan. 29, 1992) in Mount St.
Mary's Hospital.
The former Kleah Baxter was born in Lewiston and attended Niagara Falls schools. She retired in 1965 after teaching in Niagara Falls public schools for 45 years.
Mrs. Pethybridge was active at the First Congregational Church on Cleveland Avenue in Niagara Falls and the First Presbyterian Church in Lewiston. She was a choir member at both churches.
She and her late husband, Frank, traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Her works of decoupage were displayed at arts and crafts shows and she was a member of the National Decoupeurs Guild.
Survivors include two daughters, K. Lorraine Hickey of Scotia, and F. Elaine, and four grand-children.
