Knut was baptized in Fresta, Upplands Väsby County. He married Abigail Scott, and died at age 64 years old on July 5, 1965 at Flat 1 - Inkerman Street, in St Kilda, Vic. Australia. Knut Eriksson was buried in July 1965 at New Cheltenham Cemetery in Cheltenham, VIC.

    Knut was the youngest of nine children, his father was Per Josef Emanuel Eriksson his mother was Marie Pettison. Knut joined Swedish merchant navy 1916 sailed on three mast Sailings ships including the "Parchim". . Worked on pilot ships in San Fransisco USA during 1922, then returned to Sweden to do his National Service. In 1925 decided to live in Victoria Australia. Worked for the S.E.C as a rigger building the power station at Yallourne. Married Abigail Scott in 1933 in Melbourne. They have two children John Axel born April 1934 and Margaret Lucy born 1938. There is now in 2014, 6 grandchildren, 12 Great grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren. During his life in Australia he was called Eric. He was a wonderful husband and a loving father.
