He had siblings Alice L (Lipscomb) Martin Widener-Haney, Joyce Lipscomb Campbell Lowe, James A. Lipscomb, Thomas E. Lipscomb, Margaret F Lipscomb, Preston Lipscomb, Kenny Lipscomb, and Charles Lipscomb. Larry Lipscomb died at age 50 years old in 1999 in Appomattox.
