Laura Amanda (Gilchrist) Bevil was born on March 23, 1853. She was married to Alfred Monroe Bevil on November 4, 1874, and they were together until Alfred's death on March 3, 1914. She had children Frances (Bevil) May, Ella Davis (Bevil) Crews, John Monroe Bevil, Dallas Eugene Bevil, and David Walter Bevil. Laura Bevil died at age 78 years old on October 18, 1931.
