Laura (Tassey) Hearn of Nashville, Davidson County, TN was born on October 25, 1880 to Sutton Polk Tassey and Josie (Higdon) Tassey. She had siblings Susie Annah (Tassey) Anderson, Lena (Tassey) LaMasters, and Addie (Tassey) Reynolds. She married Jess Hearn, and died at age 89 years old in February 1970. Laura Hearn was buried at Hearn Hill Cemetery.

She was the daughter of Sutton Polk Tassey and Josie Higdon Tassey. and the wife of Jess Hearn-buried in Hearn Hill Cemetery in Tennessee, the sister of Susie Annah Tassey Anderson of Corsicana, Tx. Lena Tassey LaMasters of Nashville, Addie Tassey Reynolds of Nashville. She has three half-siblings by step mother-Susan Ledbetter Tassey. They were Jennie Mai Tassey, Grace C. Tassey and Sutton Houston Tassey of Detroit, Michigan.
