She had siblings Aubrey John Lancaster, Henry Nelson Lancaster, Arnold Murrell Lancaster, Alfred Athelstan Lancaster, and Clarence Hume Lancaster. She married William Alexander Buchanan in 1916, and had children Clarence James Buchanan, Leila Mary Buchanan, and Jean Margaret Buchanan. Leila Buchanan died at age 71 years old on June 29, 1966 in Brisbane, QLD.
