Grandma Dreitzler
She was a remarkable woman full of life and energy - a very loving soul. She was the mother of Edward, Helen and Louise. Edward's son was Richard Allen Dreitzler and lived in Fostoria Ohio.
Lelia was sharp as a tack up until the end. She lived alone and cleaned her house thoroughly every day up until she was about 91 at which time she went to live with her daughter Louise.
I am Richard's widow. The entire family was close knit. Richard had a brother, John Dreitzler who passed away at the age of about 25. He and Richard both died early deaths from cancer.
Lelia graduated from Tiffin University and was married to John Dreitzler. I have forgotten her maiden name.
Edward, her son, was married to Mary Highline
Helen Dreitzler Downey lived in Tiffin, Ohio with her husband, Tom Downey. They had two children: Tom Downey and Virginia Downey Tahboub. Young Tom is deceased and Virginia lives in Earlysville, VA with her husband and children.
Louise Dreitzler Biller lived in Mt. Jackson, VA with her husband Carson Biller. Louise and Carson had three children: John Biller, James Biller and Janet Biller (married name unknown)
Richard Allen Dreitzler, my husband had one adopted daughter, Meri C. Dreitzler Skilliter and she is married to Richard Skilliter and lives in Bluffton, Ohio. They have three married sons and two grandchildren.
I remember many visits with Lelia and many holidays spent with the family and Lelia as the "head honcho". She had a delightful sense of humor.
Once when I was visiting, the phone rang and she asked me to answer it for her. It turned out to be an obscene call and, trying not to tip her as to who it was, I just told her it was a wrong number. She replied, "It was that naughty man again!" We all had a good laugh over that one.
