Introduction

Lena Mueller, beloved daughter of Michael and Anna Mueller. With her trousseau laid out at her home in a readiness for her coming marriage, took her own life because of a lover's quarrel. She was discovered in an unconscious condition in Eastlake Park by policeman and died soon after being taken to the County Hospital. An empty chloroform bottle by her side in the park revealed the cause of her death. The girl was but 22 years of age.

In Los Angeles, a day before her wedding Lena was preparing for her big day. She had her trousseau laid out at her home in a readiness for her coming marriage. At some point she and her fiancé quarreled. Apparently Lena Mueller was so upset, she got her hands on a bottle of chloroform and went to Eastlake Park. At the park, she used the chloroform to end her life.
