Lenondas Dietz was my "Aunt Lee". I loved her so much, she was my dad's sister and the only girl in the family. When my dad thought I wasn't ready to drive and wouldn't teach me, Aunt Lee took me out on Freedom Farm Road in the Belleville area somewhere and let me get the feel of driving. She had one child, Donna Lee, who was my age and we were pretty close cousins. We kids loved going over to Belleville and visiting. Aunt Lee's husband was named Gilmore J. Dietz and we kids called him "Gilly". He was an easygoing old guy and smiled often. Donna married Randy Thompson at Scott Air Force Base outside Belleville, and they had one child, Cora. I was married in living in Colorado when Aunt Lee passed away, and did not get to her funeral.
