    Leo Earle Hustus is the son of Clyde Irving Hustus (1894-1918) and Grace Melvina Hamlin (1892-1946). He was born on February 22, 1912 in Gardiner, Kennebec, Maine, USA and was an only child. On Christmas Eve, December 24, 1935 he married Lucille Christine Bond (1914-1986) in Maine. They had multiple children together including Dorothea Ellen (1936-2018), Althea Lucille (1937-2012), Lance Earle (1946-2015), Loren C (1950-2019), Lorraine Mary (1950-2012), and Richard Hustus. Leo enlisted on April 28, 1944 in Fort Devens Massachusetts and served in the US Military until he was discharged on December 18, 1945.
