My grannie was married to Woodrow H. Rosen in Port Lavaca, Tx. Calhoun, Co. Tx. On September 7,1940. I never knew my granddad, He was born May 16, 1915, & passed away on December 26,1968. Before I was born. They had 3 children together. Billie Sue Roden, Jimmy A. Roden, & their youngest son Bobby E. Roden who was born March 12,1955 & passed away April 20,1987. She had many grandchildren when she passed. She was loved & most the neighborhood teens hung out always hung out @ grannies. Grannie was well known for her for always being open. I learned that when the Brazos river had flooded their home when my granddad was still alive, & the kids were young the oldest around 11-12 there was a picture of grannie in The Facts, local paper of her with a large fishing hook from the boat grabbing catfish by the loads & pulling into the kitchen. She loved any type of fishing!! She had 2 other sisters that I know of: Aunt Minnie, &1 I can not remember her name.
