Leonard wasn't enamored of the black race. Someone quoted him as bemoaning the dearth of white babies in Los Angeles or CA generally.
I disagreed with Leonard but couldn't change his views one iota. Instead of answering my points he just stopped writing. Asked why he dumped me, he replied that I was "too interested in proving him wrong about everything than in keeping an open mind on the subject of the holocaust."
Leonard reminded me of what Max Planck, the German physicist, wrote. "A new scientific theory does not win out by convincing its opponents and making them see the light. A new generation just grows up that is used to it." Leonard represented certain views of an older generation. He couldn't be persuaded to change but he passed away and his views went with him.
