He married Fanny Margaret (Morris) Sellar in 1898, and had children Percival Morris Sellar, Ruby Sellar, Robert Stewart Sellar, Lily Roma Etevenanse Sellar, and Ellen Margaret Sellar. Leonard Sellar died at age 80 years old in 1952 in South Melbourne, VIC Australia.
