Leslie was the only child of Roy (14 Sep 1885-22 June 1937) and Laura (Snow)Carr (1880-1957). He married Hilda Tronter and they had one son, David Leslie Carr. When Roy died, one news article said that Leslie worked for the Carlisle, Illinois Western Union office, and that Roy's funeral arrangements would have to wait until Leslie arrived. However, another paper said that he and his son lived in Mitchell.
