Lester Edward Hartline was born on April 11, 1917 in Meyersdale, Somerset County, Pennsylvania United States to Ida N. Miller and Joseph Franklin Hartline, and had siblings Ernest F Hartline, Earl R. Hartline "Curly", Alice E. Hartline, and George Hartline. He married Elaine Schuh, and had children Charles Edward Hartline, Lester Frank Hartline, Cathy Elaine Hartline, and Joseph Scott Hartline. Lester Hartline died at age 83 years old on June 16, 2000 in Rockwood.
