Lewis Hall of Prahran Australia was born in 1895 to Mary Ann (Walters) Hall and William Joseph Hall. He had siblings Alfred Henry Hall, Bessie Maria Hall, Hazel Hall, Vera Emily Hall, Verna Hall, Frederick James Hall, Reuben Hall, Alfred Henry Hall, William Walter Hall, and Norman Victor Hall. Lewis Hall died at age 81 years old in 1976 in Prahran.

In 1895, in the year that Lewis Hall was born, on September 3rd, in Latrobe, PA, the first professional football game was played. The game was between the Latrobe YMCA and the Jeannette Athletic Club. Latrobe won 12 - 0.

In 1920, at the age of 25 years old, Lewis was alive when on January 1, over 6000 people were arrested and put in prison because they were suspected of being communists. . Many had to be released in a few weeks and only 3 guns were found in their homes. The U.S. Department of Justice "red hunt" netted thousands of "radicals" and suspected "communists" and aliens were deported. But the "hunt" ended after Attorney General Palmer forecast a massive radical uprising on May Day and the day passed without incident.
