Linda was not born into the Locatis family; she married into the Locatis family in 1973. her father was Milton Abbott and her mother was Dorothy Abbott. She was an only child. Her parents were older as parents of our generation went but they were very good to me as I'd lost my mother when I was just five years old. Mrs. Abbott was like a second mother to me. I do believe my mother and LInda's mother met in the hospital when we were born and that's how our families originally became friends.

Linda Lee (Abbott) Locatis was my best friend during our elementary school years. I thought I'd try to find her - and did - only to learn she died at the tender age of 30. I am devastated. She was a beautiful, lovely girl and has been gone these 35 years. It is just heartbreaking to discover this news.
