Linda Stickel's parents were Jack Stickle (born 1927) and Helen Pufahl (born 1937). Linda D Stickel married Dennis L. Pahlisch on October 16, 1976, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They had son Joshua Lyle Pahlisch, born in 1978. When their son was three months old, Linda and her son were abducted and she was murdered while shopping at a mall in Gresham, Oregon. Linda managed to crawl to a highway around Warm Springs, Oregon, where she had been dumped on the side of the road. Her baby was found later, unharmed. She lived long enough to describe her assailant. A Portland, Oregon man, Stephen D. Danforth, was sentenced to life imprisonment he when plead guilty to a charge of Felony murder.
