Blue Milk
We always called Linda "Rugrat" though I have no idea how she got that nickname. She lived in the house cater-cornered from my fiancé's house, and she regularly babysat for him as he (Scotty) had sole custody of his infant son. She complained that her husband, David, kept drinking the baby's milk, so Scotty suggested that she put blue food coloring in the milk. This was in the days before disposable diapers, and none of us realized that could be a problem, but basic color mixing tells us what happens when we mix blue and yellow, and the diaper service cancelled the contract when they discovered green stains in the diapers. In any case, Linda was patient, kind, and sweet and did not deserve the disrespect dealt by David.
