    Linda Carter Bennett, 55, of Green Mountain, NC, died Sunday, June 15, 2003 at her home. Native of Spartanburg County, SC, daughter of the late Doyle Edward Carter and Alice Sizemore Carter York. Employed in the insurance business for over 30 years, was a member of Landmark Baptist Church, was actively involved in her church, community, and loved to sing her gospel songs. Survivors include her husband, Mike Bennett; two daughters, Wendy Wilson Ledbetter (Jeff) of Inman, SC and Heidi Wilson West (Clay) of Pacolet, SC; two step-children, Jason Bennett of Burnsville and Detra Sha Bennett of Burnsville; two grandchildren, Tyler Lawter and Hunter West of Pacolet, SC; four brothers, Dwyer Carter of Boiling Springs, SC, Ronald Carter of Simpsonville, SC, and Bruce and Buck Carter, both of Mayo, SC. Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 16, 2003 at Tate Memorial Baptist Church in Pacolet, SC. The Revs. Denver Styles, Frank Phillips, Gary Norton and Dennis Tessnier will officiate. Burial was in Pacolet Memorial Gardens in Pacolet, SC. The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, June 16, 2003 at Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home in Burnsville, NC, and also from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 17, 1003 in Pacolet at the church.
