I am Jimmy Lyndon Renfro. I am the eldest child of LLoyd Harvey Merritt's eldest daughter.

My Granddad was a West Texas cotton farmer near the small farming town of Snyder, Texas in the 1940s. While my Mother was in high school around 1950, my Granddad was elected Sherriff of Scurry County. Shortly after his election, oil was discovered in Scurry County. Suddenly, his job, and the city of Snyder changed forever. During my Mother's high school years, she and her family lived in the Sherriff's quarters at the Scurry County Jail.
