Lois Edith Biffen was born on March 18, 1922 at Melbourne to George Henry Biffen and Ida Emma (Curtiss) Biffen, and had siblings Sydney Walter Biffen, Mary Biffen, and John Biffen. She married Hugh Hassall Bishop, and had children Robert Hugh Bishop, Edward Alan Bishop, and Helen Elizabeth Bishop. Lois Biffen died at age 76 years old in 1998 at Healesville.
