Loraine was my paternal grandmother. My father, Jack Fors, was her only child. Her first husband, Clarence Fors, passed away when my dad was a small child. She remarried when my dad was already an adult, and that was to Frank Kosma. She was an amazing gardener, and won awards from the city of Stevens Point for her fabulous yard. Their home sat on two lots and was filled with a pine forest, every type of flower imaginable (with something always in bloom), and raspberry bushes, along with lots of other fruits and vegetables. She had a way with birds, and the same family of sparrows came to nest every year. She would watch from the kitchen window and chase any predators, like blue jays, away. She was also known for her amazing cooking. Everything she cooked was phenomenal. She was very intelligent and charismatic. People were drawn to her, and she was so much fun to spend time with. She had 3 sisters: Beatrice, Girlie, and Alice, and their maiden name was Morrissey.
