    Lorene E. "Gyke" Longfellow, 80, died Wednesday (Feb. 4, 2004) in Hoopeston, IL. She was born April 22, 1923, in Milford, the daughter of Geike and Jennie Riley Geiken. She married Frank R. Longfellow Oct. 4, 1944, in Hoopeston. He preceded her in death Nov. 22, 1999. Family links: Parents: Jennie Riley Geiken (1898 - 1988) Spouse: Frank R. She was born April 22, 1923, in Milford, the daughter of Geike and Jennie Riley Geiken. She married Frank R. Longfellow Oct. 4, 1944, in Hoopeston. He preceded her in death Nov. 22, 1999. She is survived by three sons, Geike (Jane) Longfellow, Terry (Kim Longfellow and Frank G. (Kristi) Longfellow, all of Hoopeston; two daughters, Tammy (Ron) Pearcy of Charleston and Judy (Danny) Pierce of Hoopeston; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Longfellow had resided in Hoopeston for 59 years. She had been employed by Pla-Mor Lanes and Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital. She attended the First Church of God in Hoopeston. She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren also enjoyed Sunday evening services at the Cowboy Church in Hoopeston with her friends, Lela Davis and LaVonne Barker. Funeral services: 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston; Officiating: Rev. Lewis E. Mershon; Burial: Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston; Visitation: 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home; Memorials: Danville Regional Cancer, 806 N. Logan Avenue, Danville, IL 61832
