He was in a relationship with Anna Jonap, and had children Ruth Rose (Jonap) Prevor, Sylvia (Jonap) Berman, and Gertrude (Jonap) Kurshan. Louis Jonap died at age 73 years old on November 1, 1950, and was buried on November 3, 1950 in Elmont, Nassau County, New York United States.
