He married Anne Kambic Rostan, and had children Raymond Francis Rostan, Francis Rostan, and Genevieve Rostan. Louis Rostan died at age 86 years old on July 15, 1976.

During the first world war, Louis aquired a flower from no man’s land, and two heavy artillery shells. It is unknown how he got them. He sent the items to his wife, Anne, where they were kept for a long time. The flower was put in Anne’s prayer book where I assume it stayed for a very long time
