Great Grandmother came to this country in 1904..thru Ellis Island as an Italian Immigrant..her husband James Sylvester had already settled in Gallitzin and was here before her...they had a grocery business for many years before he died very young in his 30's i believe. I have to say she was the most loving and accepting person i have ever met in my entire life..all of us adored and revered her. She truly was the matriarch that held all of her 13children together along with their offspring as well. I knew her from the time i was able to remember til approx 20 year of age when she passed away. She never took off her wedding band and outlived her husband by about 60 years.. It really was an honor to be her great grandson..and to have known her...Jeff.
