Loyd Murdoch was the Son of Molly O. (Fincher) Murdoch. She is Daughter of Andrew Jackson Fincher, and Mary Frances Brown. Her sister Frances Eugenia (Fincher) Davis is my Grandma. Loyd, was a Boxer in 1930's? Nicknamed Farmer Jones, he had a Hog tgat went in the Ring with him. He could tell the Hog to attack, and it would. He owned a Trailer Park in Waxahachie Ellis Co. Tx. He's buried in Waxahachie. He hgad a Brother named Hoyt Murdoch, a wrestler. Hisnephew was Richard (Dick) Murdoch, also a Wrestler. When I was young Grandma lived in Rogers Tx, and I lived in Temple, we tookk our first train ride to Waxahachie to visit everyone. Later we went back by car with Dad and a cousin Leroy Davis. Loyd sent us out to feed his Hog, a descendant of the one in the ring. He told us not to go in put feed overf the fence.We coul'nt seed her, s Leroy decided to jump in, and find her, he thought she escaped. Well, the pen was an L shape, he walked over, and here she came, rfounding tge corner, full speed, and sliding as she came toward's us. Leroy, tok a flying leap for the fence line, screaming all the way. He, luckily cleared it, and here came Loyd, he heard the commotion. He told us she had piglet's, and she wiuld have hurt him. He told us of tge story of her Ancestor that went in the ring with him, all he had to do, if he were in trouble was to say attack, and she'd attackthe other boxer. He was a very cool person, and we were honored in knowing him. His Maternal Aunt's were Cassie Fincher Fincher, she married a cousin Jody Fincher, no children, my Grandma Frances Eugenia Fincher Davis born April 1883 Macon, Ga. Died Temple Tx. Buried at Rogers City Cem Tx. Her husband Asbury Sloan Davis. Lula Fincher DeHay of Dallas, Eunice Fincher Crowe, of California, Pearl Fincher ?Died Waxahachie. Loyd had Sister's Iris, Irma, Grace, and a brother Hoyt, Dad of Dick Murdoch. His wife was Bonnie Murdoch. Most are buried at Waxahachie cem. Loyd had a big Heart, and cared about everyone. My Aunt Earl had a picture of him Boxing, hanging on her wall, I have no idea which of our cousin's got it.
