My father was Elvin Draghi. I am his first born Marcia. I also have a brother John and a sister Laura. I am 67 years old , John is 66 and Laura is 62.
Our mother was Gertrude Kania she died when I was 8 from suicide.
My father remarried about 2 years later to Lucille Morgan.it did not appear to be a happy union. It certainly wasn't for me and my siblings.
He drank a lot. But he went to work every day.
His drinking finally got the best of him and he also got cancer which he suffered quite a long time from.
He was only 53 when he died and I think it was the best thing that could have happened at that time of his life.
He loved to hunt and fish when I was as child growing up. He gave it up after remarrying.
I didn't know my father well my stepmother kept us away from him and family as best she could. So even though I consider my father to be a good man he was also a stranger to me. If I can find a few of the pictures of him I do have I will post them.
My father has 2 grandchildren by me. A granddaughter Tracy Leigh and a grandson
Elvin Edwin .
My sister never had any children and my brother gave his sons up for adoption after a very bad marriage.
My father was a Navy veteran served in World war II.
I remember him coming home on leave one Christmas and
him bringing a friend named Cherry home. My mother was still alive then and had bought my brother and I red piggy banks. We just had to show him when he got home but it must of been late because I remember having to go to bed but staying awake listening for him.
Well that 's all for now. If anyone else has memories of my father please get in touch.
