Luella (Nacey) Roettger was born on May 27, 1919 in Leola, McPherson County, South Dakota United States to Minnie Nacey and Edward Nacey, and had siblings Elmer Jay Nacey, Ed Nacey, William C. Nacey, Marie Nacey Wallin, and Loretta Otis. She married Walter Roettger, and they were married until Walter's death. She had children Sally L. Schmitt and Alan Roettger. Luella Roettger died at age 94 years old on September 19, 2013 in Pierz, Morrison County, MN, and was buried at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
