PEREZ -- Luis Roberto Perez, 29, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005 in Albuquerque at the VA Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Latasha Perez; daughter, Kiana, both of San Diego, CA; father, Jose Luis Perez Soto and wife, Marybeth of Albuquerque; mother, Karen Lerner of Tularosa; and brother, David Clayton Perez of Albuquerque. Luis was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jan Clayton of Tularosa. He graduated from Tularosa High School in 1994, and served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Blue Ridge. After his military service, he worked for a wireless communication company. Luis enjoyed life to its fullest, was a dedicated volunteer firefighter in Tularosa and a friend to everyone. He will be dearly missed by all. Graveside services will be held Monday, 3:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to High Desert Roads, 121 Cardenas NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, an organization serving the brain injury community. A special thanks to the excellent staff of the VA Hospital.
