My beloved maternal grandmother
My grandmother lived with us, meaning her daughter, Therese Louise Tardif, son-in-law, Philippe Tardif, and granddaughter, Louise til she died in 1969.
I have many old photographs that belonged to her and I think some were from the family, ? Dr. Lavallee, in Berlin, NH, for whom she may have worked while my Mom attended Villa Augustina Academy. And after her husband, Pierre Sevigny, died in ? 1936.
I would like to identify the photos if anyone can assist. Lumina was from a large family, many of whom settled in Berlin—-Clarida Montminy, Marianne Pelletier, Ernest Gagne, to name a few. Others remained in St. Anselme, Canada, namely Arthur and Alyre. Does anyone know the family of the doctor for whom she worked , I would say in the 1930’s or beginning of the 40’s?
She lived on Goebel St. til I was about a year old, 1948, and we moved to Barre, Vt. As my Dad was promoted to Mgr. of JJ. Newberry Co.
