Mary Neeley:
Part of her legacy destroyed. - When the posthumous LP, "Lioness" was released, it was not well received by critics. Therefore, Universal records UK CEO decided to destroy all remaining demo tapes they had of Amy. He felt it was "a moral thing". Now, no one will ever be able to hear those parts of her music history.
Kathy Pinna:
Lena Jane (Poore) Shurley was born on August 16th, 1907 to Wiley Barton Poore (1861 - 1941) and Mable R. "Gabe" Cochran (1879 - 1967) and she had siblings Hazel. Ethel and Mayme.
Lena Poore married Clarence Christopher Shurley (1891 - 1961) in 1935 in Oklahoma and they had a son, William "Billy" and a daughter, Sharon.

Kathy Pinna:
Herbert Harley Sherrer was born on December 21st, 1908 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William T Sherer, who was born in 1878 and Mary Elizabeth Jeandreaux (1880 - 1926 ) and he had siblings Roy, James, Helen and Otis.
Herbert H. Sherrer married Emma Penix (1913 - 1991) and they had one daughter.

Joseph Balachowski:
Trying to solve a mystery. - Karol Bienko and my father, Joseph Balachowski were fellow partisans in the Polish Home Army during WWII, in the eastern part of Poland that now belongs to Ukraine.
During the war they operated out of a farm where my father met my future mother. At the end of WWII my parents ended up in a displaced persons camp in Salzburg, Austria. According to them, Karol disappeared.
In 1948 my parents emigrated to the United States. After my father retired from teaching at a California college, my parents retired to Hemet, CA. This is less than 100 miles from Desert Hot Springs, CA, where Karol Bienko spent his last days. My father passed away in 1989.
I am not sure this was a coincidence. It's possible Mr. Bienko somehow found my father. But did they ever communicate?
Does anyone out there know this story? I would love to hear from you.

Lorie Hayes:
No one has had contact with my Aunt Linda since Hurricane Harvey hit the TX/LA area and she was evacuated. We haven't been able to find her since. Her Children are seeking to find her. She is very loved! She rather live in the open to feel free of any stress from living trappped in the walls of her apartment. She had a beautiful apartment but due to past issues she couldnt be held within 4 walls so she chose the streets. We accepted her ways of life because I understand her circumstances and I notice she was really sad living within those walls. Seeing her on the street, always clean never on drugs or alcohol and Im so proud of her for that. One of the things I admire about her, She learned the dictionary by taking a page or two. Write the word with definition then would show up and ask me to test her. WHO CAN SAY THEY HAVE DONE THAT!!! Heck who would even want to do that? My Aunt Linda would! Makes me smile when I think about those times. When she wanted to see you she would pop up riding her bike and we would visit and laugh, like belly laugh! Test her vocabulary definitions then she would ride off ! Never dreamed when she got evacuated that would be the last. Gosh I miss her sweet sole.
Marilyn Keough:
Quite a Character - Gramma was beautiful and kind. She spoke English quite well, but couldnāt spell (including our names:) correctly for beans. She could cook (and sew and crochet) like nobody elseās business! We all probably lost 10 pounds after she passed awayā¦ and she had quite a āleadfootā while driving, which we always would kid her about.
She had a smile that could light up the room, and hugs that could cure just about anything.

A friendly man of many skills - Leonard was a family friend and skilled tradesman who helped out in many ways whether it was helping my aging grandfather to update our former apartment, to help my Dad and Unc when they needed a bartender in a pinch in their Bungalow Inn restaurant , or to help my Unc in remodeling his Fox Lake summer cottage into a year round home. .(which offered Leonard some weekend getaway fringe benefits ).We had several rides in his Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. whatta cool car! I knew he lived w and was taking care of his Mom We lost touch and saddened to hear of his passing
