Lydia (Cardarelli) Rocca of Syracuse, Onondaga County, NY was born on May 30, 1927 in Syracuse to Suzie Cardarelli and Augustino "Gus" Cardarelli. She had siblings Vincentina "Ginzie" Cardarelli, Joseph P. Cardarelli, Ray Cardarelli, and Hazel VanCott. She married Alfred C. Rocca, and had children Karen Wood and Doreen Rocca. Lydia Rocca died at age 67 years old on April 4, 1995 at Home in Syracuse, and was buried circa April 7, 1995 at Woodlawn Cemetery 800 Grant Blvd, in Syracuse.

Introduction

Mom was a loving and caring person. She loved her family. She always was encouraging and made us believe we could do anything. Mom loved to have fun and one of her favorite things to do was to fool us on April Fools Day. She got us every time. We got her once. She loved her husband, my Dad. They showed us what a marriage was. Up until the day God took her home, her and Dad would hold hands- no matter where they were.
