Lyle M Lubiens' History: 1915 - 2006

Uncover new discoveries and connections today by sharing about people & moments from yesterday.
  • Introduction

Lyle Lubiens was my algebra teacher at Nampa High School in 1975-1976. I was looking him up to tell him how much I appreciated him. I was sad to find that he passed away in 2006. I wish I would have tried earlier. He was the greatest and most patient math teacher I've ever known. A lot of the teens made fun of him because of his age - he was much older than us. However, there was something very special about him. He was the one that taught me how to figure out algebra. I loved that guy and am a better man from being taught under his wisdom and love for students. I hope his family gets to see this and know how much he meant to me. Ken Solts
